I have to admit...
...I've been considering making the switch to wordpress. (*Hides*) I like a lot of their basic layouts and feel like I could have a bit more freedom there without having to learn to design my own stuff. *Shrug* What do y'all think?
Check out a test blog I'm working on using wordpress (for Remnant Catholic Apostolate)! I used a basic layout and added links.. and it already looks superb. It's very tempting...

I think it's way better than Blogger. Eleventy bajillion times better. It takes more work, but I think it's easier to get things just the way you like them.
On the other hand, Blogger's price is right for me. :-)
I use Wordpress, and it is much more versatile than Blogger. TONS of templates.
My vote is for Wordpress.
I think Wordpress looks great. I'm going to stick with Blogger, though...it doesn't cost anything.
The wordpress blog that you see... is free.
